On-site training sessions

Just for you, face-to-face

PolyVision offers half day and full day on-site training sessions that are cost effective, comprehensive and collaborative opportunities. These training events enable educators to master and extend the basics of the hardware and software features they have at their disposal.

Half day

There are two components to PolyVision’s half day, three hour professional development offering:
  1. Basic mechanics of operation—Participants will learn how to configure the PolyVision driver and better understand the basic functions of their new PolyVision interactive whiteboard. Once they are able to identify and demonstrate the use of the basic PolyVision driver-based tools, they will have opportunity to practice these functions with a variety of software applications including Microsoft Office applications and others the district may have identified in the initial consultation phase with their assigned Education Consultant.

  2. Overview of RM Education Easiteach software—Participants will become familiar with the installation and key features of the RM Easiteach software. They will explore the basic functions of the main Easiteach software frame. Participants will learn each of the features in the main RM Easiteach toolbar. Additionally, participants will be shown one tool in each of the subject specific toolbars. All tools will be reviewed so that participants will learn how to use them on-the-fly for lesson preparation and development with new and existing curriculum reference materials. Participants will also have an opportunity to navigate their way through a bank of complimentary resource materials including online teacher resource materials, image galleries and pre-made lessons.

  3. Application—All participants will be actively engaged in the creation of new lesson materials and effective strategies using their PolyVision interactive whiteboard. They will create a minimum of one lesson component that will be presented and shared with all participants. This activity will reinforce the ease of use of the new instructional technology tool adopted and a greater awareness of this learning community that may expand into a PolyVision User Group.
