Our history

The PolyVision history encompasses decades of a strong foothold in the education, commercial and industrial markets. Since 1954, our core competency in the world’s most durable ceramicsteel surfaces, has guided our success along the way—from the time-tested chalkboards of early classrooms, to walls and infrastructure, to interactive, next-generation teaching and learning tools. Today, PolyVision’s industry-leading surfaces are incorporated in over two-billion square feet of working and learning spaces across the globe.

World-class manufacturing

PolyVision’s Genk, Belgium and Okmulgee, Oklahoma manufacturing facilities are deeply rooted in the development and product of our revolutionary ceramicsteel surface, the core of our product portfolio. ISO 9001 certified in both locations, our production processes are streamlined globally for the highest level of quality, customer service and competitive value.

Celebrating our 40th year in Genk, this facility offers:

  • A state-of-the-art research and development center, where we have brought the art of enameling to rare levels of control over product and process
  • An administration and business center that provides optimum support
  • Silk-screen printing on ceramicsteel and lamination of architectural and graphic panels

Since 1975, our Okmulgee facility produces smooth-as-glass surfaces and screenprinting for:

  • Markerboards and chalkboards in standard and custom sizes

  • Architectural surfaces
