Empower your staff…PolyVision includes customized Professional Development programs that are curriculum-focused for expanded styles of teaching

PolyVision offers customized Professional Development, ensuring that the technology is fully integrated into your 21st Century teaching and learning process. Development includes needs analysis, training design, and implementation. Training permits learning as a group or individually.

PolyVision Professional Development is customized by an experienced professional development team based upon the district’s current investment in technology and software. Training is tailored to address desired learning outcomes based upon standardized test scores. Professional Development options range from on-site to web-based trainings enhancing the ability for teachers to continue to learn at their own pace. 

At the onset of introducing a new technology, face-to-face professional development is key. Based upon years of user observation and research, we have structured PolyVision Professional Development into three levels which helps teachers progress from a basic user to an expert.

Available On-Site Training

• Level 1 - Includes an introduction to the interactive whiteboard, available tools and resources, as well as integrating the interactive whiteboard into the classroom curriculum. Teachers will learn how to transform existing lesson plans to interactive lessons, participate in hands-on practice to create and modify lessons, including an introduction to Easiteach® content tools, sample lessons, and activities. 
• Level 2 - Includes Level 1, plus preparation to seek out and utilize active learning through the use of interactive websites.
• Level 3 - Includes Levels 1 and 2, as well as a more individual approach to the creation and presentation of lessons and activities including the advanced features of the whiteboard, comprehensive use of Easiteach content toolbars to create and modify lessons within Easiteach, advanced features of Easiteach, and examples of how to utilize saved class notes.

Successful professional development is an ongoing process. However, when it is not possible to have face-to-face small group professional development sessions, PolyVision can facilitate individual learning through the following support services:  

• Customizable Webinars - a wide variety of webinars spanning from basic instruction on using your board to creating lesson plans will amaze both you and your students. Webinars to increase knowledge on the interactive whiteboard tools and Easiteach content tools and resources are offered throughout the week to anyone free of charge.  Each webinar is customizable to the levels of use and goals of the participants.
• “Live Chat” - During scheduled times, PolyVision users can log-on to a “Live Chat” with a PolyVision Training Development Specialist. The specialist will be available to answer all questions regarding basic technical concerns, usage of the board, or useful hints and ideas on successfully using the board within the classroom. 
• Virtual Mentors – PolyVision’s Virtual Mentor program allows PolyVision users to contact one of our Training Development Specialists at any time to ask questions and/or ask for help in lesson plan creation and integration. Our specialists are available to facilitate your lesson plan creation while working with you on curriculum development for your interactive whiteboard.
• Demo Videos and T.V.  - Want to learn about lesson plan development and board usage in the comfort of your own home? PolyVision and RM Education have provided this experience via their instructional videos and T.V. episodes. Both companies offer information that walks you step-by-step through everything you’ll need to know. All of the videos and RM T.V. are available for download, at no charge, any time of the day.
