PolyVision Opens Doors to a New Manufacturing Division
Local Jobs Added to PA Economy with Opening of a New Production
Line of Commercial Marker and Tack Boards.
Dixonville, PA – (Jan. 5, 2005) –
PolyVision Corporation, the world leader in visual communication products,
is proud to expand its marker and tack board production by 2.5 million
square feet of surfaces this year with the opening of a new production
line within its Dixonville, PA manufacturing facility. The new line of
marker and tack boards, called the Commercial Series, is being launched
to offer a sophisticated range of marker and tack board designs to the
corporate, higher education, and health care markets.
“We are excited to build upon our 50-year heritage of designing,
and manufacturing the world’s leading visual communication products
for the education market and create a breakthrough line of new designs
for the commercial marketplace. The new Lean Based manufacturing cell
will allow us to provide custom and on-demand products for the historically
underserved architectural & design community,” said Mike Dunn,
PolyVision President & CEO. “Previously, designs have been somewhat
pedestrian, lacking innovation and style. We are setting a new standard
with designs that truly break the mold and have been very well received
in our prelaunch previews.”
The newly opened production line is housed in a dedicated 6,000 square
foot building within the existing Dixonville, PA manufacturing facility,
and is staffed by new and existing employees. The Commercial Series includes
eleven new marker and tackboards, projection screens, mobile boards, and
even a patent-pending track system. For more information about the Commercial
Series, please visit www.polyvision.com/cs
