POLYVISION REORGANIZATION STRENGTHENS LEADERSHIP POSITION
PolyVision Restructures Visual Communication Products Operations and Gains Key Production Efficiencies

Suwanee , GA (September 8, 2005) – PolyVision Corporation, a Steelcase company, has announced today that it will restructure its Visual Communication Products operations based in Dixonville, Pennsylvania.

PolyVision’s Marker Board and Tack Board product lines, which are presently manufactured in company-owned plants at Dixonville, Pennsylvania and Corona, California, will be consolidated into the Corona plant. PolyVision’s Pennsylvania Casework and Commercial product lines, which are presently manufactured at the Dixonville plant and at Clymer, Pennsylvania, will be consolidated into the Dixonville facility. Production of special items including display cases and executive conference units currently manufactured in Clymer and Corona are being consolidated and moved to the Dixonville plant. These changes will take place beginning in October, and continuing into early 2006.

While a total of approximately 130 positions will be eliminated in Pennsylvania, there will be an offsetting workforce expansion as production is increased in Corona. “While eliminating positions in Pennsylvania has been disappointing for us, we’ve worked hard to keep these jobs within the United States and are pleased that we have been able to do so, while also reducing production costs,” stated Mike Dunn, PolyVision President and CEO.

PolyVision has provided notice of these employment changes, under the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notice (WARN) Act, to the impacted workers and appropriate union and government officials.

This reorganization does not impact workers at PolyVision’s other operations, which include Visual Communication Products manufacturing in Okmulgee, Oklahoma and Long Island, New York; Interactive Products manufacturing in Beaverton, Oregon; and European operations in Genk, Belgium, Odense, Denmark, and, Onnaing, France.
