Contact: Erin Thomas Suwanee , GA (November 15, 2006) – PolyVision Corporation, a Steelcase Company (NYSE:SCS) and the world leader in visual communication products, today received the first and only international Cradle to Cradle certification for its new e3 environmental ceramicsteel™ surface. The new designation marks the first Cradle to Cradle certification of any product in Europe and directly follows PolyVision’s U.S. Cradle to Cradle Silver certification for its Premium Whiteboards featuring e3 environmental ceramicsteel surface. The launch of Cradle to Cradle certified whiteboards with e3 environmental ceramicsteel surface signals another milestone in PolyVision’s global program to meet or exceed local environmental regulations. The whiteboards marry the design, quality, and durability of PolyVision products with environmental responsibility. “Launching the first Cradle to Cradle Certified whiteboard is part of PolyVision’s continuing commitment to the environment and a key part of our eVision™ product development strategy,” said Mike Dunn, President and CEO of PolyVision. “PolyVision is dedicated to taking the lead in the development and distribution of products that comply with the evolving ecological interests and requirements of today’s workplace. Everyone has a duty to be environmentally responsible and we are thrilled to be leading the industry in this important initiative.” Cradle to Cradle certification focuses on the characteristics of sustainable materials, products and systems. The certification process places a major emphasis on the human and ecological health impacts of a product’s ingredients, as well as on the ability of that product to be truly recycled or safely composted. The quality of energy used to create a product, water quantity and quality, and social responsibility also are essential sustainability characteristics and focus areas in this certification process. Edge™, an example of the new Cradle to Cradle certified whiteboard line, will be showcased at the Greenbuild tradeshow, booth 501, in Denver, Colorado. About e3 environmental ceramicsteel surface
