Leads the Visual Communication Market with Enhancements for Webster™
Interactive Whiteboards
Introducing Webster Wireless
Atlanta – January 7, 2003 – PolyVision Corporation,
a subsidiary of Steelcase Inc. (NYSE:SCS), and an international
manufacturer of innovative visual communication products, today
announced the availability of Webster Wireless.
PolyVision developed a wireless technology that is available for
its suite of Webster interactive products including touch sensitive
and laser tracking interactive whiteboards, plasma displays, and
rear projection units.
Webster Wireless eliminates all cabling between Webster interactive
whiteboards and the computer, requires no special software, and
maintains a connection up to 30 feet even if someone walks between
it and the computer. As a result, users experience freedom of movement
and the ability to create flexible room arrangements. The high-speed
infrared (IR) connection of Webster Wireless allows quick capture
as you write, and the projected mouse cursor moves in real-time.
PolyVision’s Webster interactive products have revolutionized
group interactivity, instantly capturing anything written or drawn
on the board, and allowing notes to be printed, e-mailed, faxed
or uploaded to the Web. Webster Wireless enhances group collaboration,
interactive presentations, and learning environments by making communication
with Webster interactive products even easier and more effective.
